Ronald Peickert

Ronald Peickert, age 85, of St. Cloud, Minnesota, formerly of Dumont and Wheaton, Minnesota, passed away May 3, 2016 at the St. Cloud V.A. Center in St. Cloud, Minnesota.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the Bainbridge Funeral Home in Wheaton with Fr. Stanley Wieser officiating.

Burial will be in St. Peter's Catholic Cemetery, Dumont, Minnesota. Military Rites will be provided by the Merton Dale American Legion Post #80.

Visitation will be Tuesday morning from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the Bainbridge Funeral Home.

Ronald was born to Oscar and Esther (Grohs) Peickert on June 27, 1930. He lived most of his life in Dumont and Wheaton, Minnesota.

He enlisted in the Navy on March 20, 1956 and was stationed in California. Upon returning to Dumont he worked at the Dumont Elevator with his dad and continued to work there after it was sold to Alex Wilson. Ronald drove school bus for twenty years.

Ronald loved working in the fields for the Grimes family. He also enjoyed going to air and tractor shows with Jeffrey and Alan. He often talked about his friendship with the Grimes and Wilsons.

Ronald is survived by his brothers: Gary Peickert of Mound, MN; Alan (Carol) Peickert of Waite Park, MN; nephew Jeffrey Peickert and niece Kelly Peickert both of Waite Park, MN; and many other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Luann Peickert and sister-in-law Marsha Peickert.

The family would like to extend a special "Thank You" to the Grimes Family, Wilson Family and Kenney Schaffer for their visits to the St. Cloud V.A. Center the past four years.
