Rosella Amann, passed away peacefully at her home in Wheaton, MN. Rose, the daughter of Lawrence and Frances (LeMar) Keller was born in Great Falls, MT and later moved to Oberon, ND. She graduated from Oberon High School in 1966. Rose attended college at the University of North Dakota and Valley City State University, and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. During her senior year she met Ken Amann and they both knew they were meant for each other. They were married on August 6, 1971 and began their life together in Leeds, ND. Rose taught school at Churches Ferry while Ken was teaching at York. In 1973 they moved to Wheaton, MN where they started a family and both taught at Pearson Elementary School. Teaching their own children was special to both of them. Rose retired from teaching in 2004.
Her husband, children and grandchildren were the loves of her life. Despite being miles apart from her children and grandchildren, she sent countless packages and cards multiple times throughout the year to show her love to each of them. Passions of Rose included: spending time with family and friends, planting flowers, gardening, cooking, teaching Sunday school, praying the Rosary, cheering on the MN Twins and happy hours spent with her husband Ken sitting outside on warm summer afternoons in front of their garden.
Rose is survived by her husband Ken Amann; children: Jeffrey (Shawna) Amann and Julie (Dave) Schulte; grandchildren: Ian Amann (15), Savanah Amann (13), Noah Schulte (10), Ari Amann (9), and Luc Amann (5); sister Sharon (Chuck) Johnson; brothers-in-law: Jim (Sue) Amann, Gene Amann and Kermit Amann; sisters-in-law: Sharon Keller, Donna (Mike) Porter and Beverly (Steve) Fliflet; She also has a number of nieces and nephews.
