Funeral Service for Roy Totzke, 86, of Wheaton, Minnesota will be held Saturday, April 29, 2006 at 1:30 P.M. at St. John Lutheran Church in Wheaton, Minnesota with Rev. Howard Jording officiating. Visitation will be Friday, April 28 from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at the Ranney Funeral Home in Wheaton, and one hour prior to services at the church Saturday. Interment will be in St. John Lutheran Cemetery, rural Wheaton, Minnesota. Roy Arthur Totzke was born August 25, 1919 in Traverse County, Minnesota to Henry and Grace (Billett) Totzke. He attended country school in Tintah Township. He entered the United States Army on November 28, 1942 and was honorably discharged on November 9, 1945. Roy was wounded twice, and awarded the purple heart and numerous other medal for his service. After being discharged, Roy farmed for a few years, worked for the ASC, and worked as a carpenter until he retired. One June 15, 1957 Roy was united in marriage to Florence Wold. The couple enjoyed camping and traveling until her death on June 10, 1987. Roy was a resident of the Traverse Care Center in Wheaton, Minnesota at the time of his death. Roy is survived by two sisters: Viola (Vernon) Ehlers of Wheaton, Minnesota, and Dorothy (Marvin) Niesche of Fergus Falls, Minnesota, one brother: Dale (Carol) Totzke of Wheaton, Minnesota, and many nieces and nephews. Roy was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Robert Totzke & sisters: Helen Fix and Ida Leesberg.
