Funeral Service for Shaun Siegel, age 39, of Wheaton, Minnesota will be held Thursday, June 20, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Wheaton with Rev. Thomas Olson officiating. Special music will be provided by Marcy LeClair. Pallbearers will be Patrick Deutsch Jr., Steven Schmidt, Roger Doll, Steven Lundquist, Kevin Raguse, Tim O'Leary, Tony Weick and Shawn Bainbridge. Interment will be in Wildwood Cemetery, Wheaton. Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 19th from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with a 7:00 p.m. Prayer Service and Time of Sharing at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. Visitation will continue one hour prior to service time at the church on Thursday. Shaun David Siegel was born on June 23, 1973 in Wheaton, Minnesota to Laurel and Cleone (Deutsch) Siegel. He was baptized at Ave Maria Catholic Church and later confirmed at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church. He attended school in Wheaton graduating in 1991. Shaun married Lisa Abbott on December 31, 1999 at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Wheaton. Shaun received an education degree in 2005 from the University of Minnesota Morris. He taught school at Tiospa Zina Tribal School in Agency Village, South Dakota. Shaun also managed the Wheaton Country Club for several years and operated his own DJ service under the name Shaun's Trivia and Tunes. Shaun enjoyed golfing, hunting, fishing, music, playing cards, attending and announcing Wheaton High School athletics, fantasy football and all sports and loved the community of Wheaton. Shaun passed away Saturday, June 15, 2013 at his residence in Wheaton following a long and courageous battle with cancer. Shaun is survived by his wife Lisa Siegel; children: Tylor, Grace and Jack; his mother Cleone Siegel; sister Laurie Siegel; brother Tim (Desiree) Siegel all of Wheaton; brother Joel (Greta) Siegel of Alexandria, Minnesota; mother-in-law Sandy Abbott of Clinton, Minnesota; brothers-in-law: Craig (Heather) Abbott of Savage, Minnesota and Mark Abbott of Clinton, Minnesota, and several nieces and nephews. Shaun was preceded in death by his father Laurel Siegel and father-in-law William Abbott. The Siegel family would like friends and family to join them at the Wheaton Country Club following the funeral luncheon for an afternoon of sharing stories, golfing and celebrating the life of Shaun Siegel.
