Sheryl Erickson

Sheryl Erickson, age 65, of Wheaton, Minnesota passed away Friday, April 5, 2019 at Sanford Hospital in Wheaton.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Bethlehem Covenant Church in Wheaton with Pastor Tim Shekleton officiating. Pianist will be Cheryl Shekleton with special music by Dennis Johnson.

Interment will be in Wildwood Cemetery, Wheaton. Pallbearers will be Mitch Whaley, Kent Whaley, Matthew Swenson, Sara Bird, Jennifer Morken, Russell Morken and Troy Morken. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Bethlehem Covenant Church Family.

Visitation will be held Tuesday morning one hour prior to service time at the church.

Sheryl LeAnn Slaathaug was born January 14, 1954 in Clear Lake, South Dakota to Dennis and Shirley Slaathaug. Sheryl graduated from Kerkhoven High School in Kerkhoven, Minnesota. She furthered her education attending Willmar Community College and Covenant Bible College in Canada.

Sheryl came with her father to Wheaton to visit friends when she met Stanley Erickson. The couple were married on April 30, 1994. They resided in Wheaton and were active at Bethlehem Covenant Church. Sheryl enjoyed music, crafting, crossword puzzles, word search and caring for their cats.

Sheryl is survived by her husband Stanley Erickson of Wheaton; two sisters-in-law: Shirley Swenson of Bloomington, MN; and Sandra (Ron) Morken of Glyndon, MN; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Sheryl was preceded in death by her parents.
