He was raised on the family farm outside of Dumont where he enjoyed riding his motor bike and spending time with friends down on Lake Traverse. At the age of 13, Terry moved to Alexandria. For 13 years of his life, Terry was married to Melissa Howe, with whom he remained very close to. Terry enjoyed riding horse and team penning. He looked forward to the annual snowmobiling, hunting and fishing trips with his friends. Terry received his certificate for scuba diving and later got his certificate for deep sea diving, which he greatly enjoyed. One of the highlights of Terrys life was his trip to the Caribbean with his friend Dick Telkamp, whom he considered his second dad. During this trip Dick taught Terry the art of sailing. Terry loved spending time with his family, especially his nephews, taking them hunting and bow fishing. He also loved to join them in their paint ball wars. Survivors include his mother Jean (Richard) Fath of Montana, and two brothers, Dean (Leila) of Starbuck and Danny (Eva) of Carlos; nephews Dexter, Devin, Drew, and Mathias; nieces LeEva, Ashley, and Leandra; extended family, David and Deniese Fath and family, Tony and Jen Fath and family, and Dana and Michael Strande and family; and best friends Melissa Howe of Evansville and Dick Telkamp of Hoffman.
