Vera Johnson

Vera Johnson, age 82, of Wheaton, Minnesota passed away Sunday, March 4, 2018 at Sanford Hospital in Fargo, North Dakota.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, March 8, 2018 at 10:30 a.m. at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church in Graceville, Minnesota with Rev. Eugene Andrus officiating.

Interment will be in Wildwood Cemetery, Wheaton. Pallbearers will be Craig Lichtsinn, Dustin Johnson, Hunter Johnson, Aurora Johnson, Amber Johnson and Richard Johnson. Honorary Pallbearers will be Vera's nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 7th from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Bainbridge Funeral Home in Wheaton. Visitation will continue Thursday morning one hour prior to service time at the church.

Vera Leona Kvick was born July 6, 1935 in Wheaton, Minnesota to Sture Olgar and Florence (Hormann) Kvick. She attended and graduated from Wheaton High School. Vera married Merton Johnson on October 30, 1954 in Morris, Minnesota. The couple farmed on the family farm they still reside on today. She was very active on the farm helping Merton. Vera loved mowing lawn, cross stitching, gardening and crocheting.

Vera is survived by her husband Merton of Wheaton; two children: Vicky (Gary) Johnson of Wheaton; and Judy Johnson of Graceville, MN: two brothers: Robert (Jeanie) Kvick of Marshall, MN; and Harlon (Jeanie) Kvick of Thief River Falls, MN; three grandchildren: Dustin (Alexis) Johnson of Wheaton; Amber Johnson (friend Nick) of St. Paul, MN; and Lindsay Johnson of Chicago, IL; and three great-grandchildren: Hunter, Aurora and Gavin.

Vera was preceded in death by her parents; grandson Travis; sister Shirley Mae "Babe" Rummens and brother Orrie Kvick.
