Funeral Service for Vyone Raguse will be held on Monday, February 6, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. at St. John Lutheran Church in Wheaton, Minnesta with Pastor Dale Young officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, February 5 from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. at the Ranney Funeral Home and one hour prior to services at the church on Monday. Interment will be in Wildwood Cemetery. Vyone was bom October 19, 1929, the daughter of Nels and Adeline (Hunt) Boom. Vyone was reminded of God's baptismal blessings on July 6, 1933 and reaffirmed them at her confirmation on May 30, 1943 at St. John Church of Wheaton. She grew up on the family farm and attended country school in Lake Valley Township and graduated from Wheaton High School. Vyone was united in Holy Marriage to Marvin Raguse on September 25, 1949. They farmed in Taylor Township until retirement and moving into Wheaton in 1991. They are members of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Monson. Vyone enjoyed gardening, sewing, hardanger, quilting and loved playing cards, especially bridge with the ladies in Wheaton. Vyone loved fishing and spending time at their lake home near Fergus Falls for many years. During the winters, they traveled in their motorhome covering 47 of the states. In 1992, they purchased a home in Mesa, AZ spending winters with many good friends. Her family was her greatest joy and enjoyed times with her grandchildren and the little great grandchildren. Vyone is survived by her husband Marvin; son Larry (Barb) Raguse; daughter Brenda (Alan) Petersen all of Wheaton. Special children Brian (Belinda) Donley, Jessica, Karrie, Nicole, Amy and their families of Park Rapids and Janel (David) Koosman, Paul and Ryan of Rockford, MN. Vyone's grandchildren: Kelly (Janet) Raguse, Wheaton; Kyle Raguse, Wheaton; Kami (BJ) Wehrman, Ambrose, ND; Keisha (James) Komestakes, Fergus Falls; Melanie (Jimmy) Lupkes, Wheaton; Robin (Kyle) Johnson, Sioux Falls, SD; Alyssa Petersen, Blaine, MN; and Marty Petersen, Fargo, ND. Great grandchildren: Mason Lampe, Nickelas and Kiara Lupkes, and Nevaeh Komestakes. Brothers: Rolland (Alice) Boom, Alexandria and Donald (Elmyra) Boom of Battle Lake. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, extended family and special friends. Vyone was preceded in death by a son, Randy Scott; and parents Nels and Adeline (Hunt) Boom.
